Now we arrive at the day before Winter Solstice. It marks the ancient celebration of Mother Night. Make way for the Dark Goddess, who holds us at our beginnings and our endings. Welcome the gift of quiet pause preceding the Yuletide birth.
In view of the noise, the divisions among us, the ceaseless rancor, and escalating attacks on our principles, we need this ancient time out.
Tonight, those who are counting down only to Christmas, as well as all who are counting down to Solstice now join together. United at last, from every continent around the globe, we are simultaneously all in the eternal Circle, in our own liminal moment, as evening sweeps across the Earth.
Arise, dearly beloved ones, and let us make merry this happy Midsummer’s Day! Join me today, for I wish you a blessed Litha! May our magic rise up, shine, and, as our ancestors taught, bring healing, joy, and transformation.
