Blessings as September arrives. She begins with Summer still pulsing brightly, but will end with the deeper colors and poignant gifts of Autumn.
A trio of hummingbirds swarm our front porch feeder at Laurel Hill Cottage this hot Summer’s day. Stop by, put your feet up, and sit a spell.
Sacred to the Goddess, our hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) attracts butterflies, bumblebees, hummingbirds and even goldfinches. Here, a swallowtail feeds on its nectar.
These long, hot summer days prompt all of us to want to just lay flat on our tummies and nap. Including our wild friends here at Laurel Hill Cottage.
