As the flowers of my anise hyssop plants go to seed, the goldfinches bounce and perch on them, dining to their hearts’ content. Quiet pleasures.
Wordless Wednesday
Wordless Wednesday: Backyard Buddies
It’s been a while since I shared a Wordless Wednesday. But these friends enjoying some quality time together were just too sweet not to share!
Wordless Wednesday: Blessed Imbolc
Each year at Imbolc, John and I decorate and ask blessings for our well, which gives us life here at Laurel Hill Cottage. Thank you to Brighid.
Wordless Wednesday: Sunset at Laurel Hill Cottage
Sometimes we need a quiet moment. Here’s one, after our first snowfall, from our road that leads to Laurel Hill Cottage. We’ve had more snow since.
Wordless Wednesday: Blessed Samhaintide
Wordless Wednesday: Our altar honoring our Ancestors and beloved dead for Samhaintide.

Wordless Wednesday: Undaunted

Wordless Wednesday: Thresholds and Edges
Stop by for a breath of fresh air and quiet, during this rather heavy, even shrill week. Here on the edges, there is a timelessness we may need.
Wordless Wednesday: Harbingers
Blessings as September arrives. She begins with Summer still pulsing brightly, but will end with the deeper colors and poignant gifts of Autumn.
Wordless Wednesday: Hazy Hot Summer’s Joy
A trio of hummingbirds swarm our front porch feeder at Laurel Hill Cottage this hot Summer’s day. Stop by, put your feet up, and sit a spell.
