Gorgeous pictures. We have barred owls on our land and I love to watch them. Sometimes, I catch one napping in a tree during the afternoon. Most of the time, I see them at dusk. Last winter I was blessed with seeing three of them at once. Awesome sight.

have I got an owl story for you. I once had a young great horned end up hiding in my barn for a day. he had some how hurt his wing and I found a local raptor rescue to come and get him and hopefully get him back to health. it was one of the most amazing days I’ve ever had just seeing how huge a young one was and being able to get that close and to be able to help him. unfortunately i never found out what happened to him. I hope and believe that he recovered and was released once more into the wild.

Wow! That must have been amazing!! Bless you, Heather, for taking the time and care to help him. I trust, too, that he was released happy and healthy in time. May owly gifts always be yours.
