Inspiring Enchantment & Illumination with Tarot & Intuitive Guidance

In Gratitude

For, after all, put it as we may to ourselves, we are all of us from birth to death guests at a table which we did not spread. The sun, the earth, love, friends, our very breath are parts of the banquet…. Shall we think of this day as a chance to come nearer to our Host, and to find out something of Him (Her), who has fed us so long?
— Rebecca Harding Davis

To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kind that will stand behind the action. Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course. Everything originates in a will for the good, which is directed at you. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude.
— Albert Schweitzer

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity…. It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.
— Melodie Beattie

Love came,
and became like blood in my body.
It rushed through my veins and
encircled my heart.
Everywhere I looked,
I saw one thing.
The Beloved’s name written
on my limbs,
on my left palm,
on my forehead,
on the back of my neck,
on my right big toe…
Oh, my friend,
all that you see of me
is just a shell,
and the rest belongs to the Beloved.
— Rumi

Hi Beth: I am so grateful that I discovered this website. Though I don’t visit all the time, I am always delighted by what I learn, and sometimes stunned by finding exactly what I need to read at a given moment. And it is visually gorgeous as well!

In the spirit of the above article, I will lose no more time in expressing my gratitude to you for creating this lovely place to visit and grow.

I loved the quotes you selected for this post on Gratitude. Isn’t Gratitude so mysterious and amazing? I took my exercise walk yesterday and instead of listening to my ipod, I named aloud all the people, things and events I was grateful for. Some of the more painful chapters in my life gave way to beautiful thoughts of gratitude.
    Cheers and Blessings,
