Wow! I am so sorry I am late posting this. I was thinking this occurred today (the 20th) rather than the 19th! Deepest apologies to all Aquarians out there, starting with the fabulous one I am married to!
Yesterday at 11:29pm Eastern time (okay, so I am not THAT late!), the Sun moved into the sign of Aquarius.
People born under this sign are fiercely proud of their idiosyncrasies. While they have a reputation for sometimes being unfeeling, hyper-intellectual, Mr. Spock types, they are highly sensitive souls who care deeply about the people around them. As astrologer Jon Cainer notes, “It’s because they are so inwardly vulnerable, that they hide their feelings behind a mask of indifference. They fear that if they ever let it slip, they may never restore it.”
Aquarians are humanitarians that want to make the world a better place in which to live, through their revolutionary thoughts and ideas. They are creative, innovative, original, progressive thinkers – in short, they are visionaries. They have a keen intellect and an ability to think “out of the box.” While broadminded, Aquarians can be stubborn in their opinions and can get impatient with those who disagree with them.
Aquarians are also very sociable and tend to have many friends and acquaintances. They relish their reputation as nonconformists and eccentrics. Aquarians usually have excellent judgment, but to be successful, their challenge is to follow through, and act on their insights.
When the Sun is in Aquarius, we all should remember that life is all about change. This is a time when a new level of consciousness is called for, and zoning out is not a good strategy. Instead, we may be called upon to get out of our comfort zone and take action. This is especially true if we have been in denial or ignoring some deeper unhappiness. Challenging conformity and the status quo are important, especially if existing situations are interfering with the greater good of all.
