Blessings of the Full Moon in Aquarius

May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness.
May all beings not have suffering and the causes of suffering.

May all beings never be without the supreme bliss, free from all suffering.

May all beings live in the great equanimity, free from all attachment and aversion.

— from The Great Peace Prayer of the Buddha

Craft leader and writer, Z. Budapest writes of this Full Moon, which comes during the time of the Sun in Leo, that, “She moves through the starry sky like a queen among her maidens, serene, radiant, bestowing her favor with equal freedom on beautiful and ugly, on rich and poor. When the light of the Full Moon fills the night sky, all grows still in adoration. A great peacefulness surrounds her. The struggles of the waking world are forgotten. There is only the stillness of the night and the light of the Moon. Her healing light bathes the world, making all things romantic and beautiful. She fills all creatures with joy.”

Remember that the Full Moon is always in the zodiac sign opposite of which one the Sun is in. So while the Sun is now in Leo, the Full Moon is in Aquarius. Astrologer Lynn Hayes illuminates the meaning of this opposition. “Full Moons are oppositions, calling on us to balance two opposing viewpoints. The Leo/Aquarius polarity creates tension between the need to express our own individual ego in a healthy way that celebrates life in a body (Leo) with the urge to express ourselves through a more collective experience (Aquarius). In Leo our experience is extremely personal – like the Sun, we are the center of our own Universe.
“In Aquarius, our experience becomes transpersonal, transcending the individual Ego to align with a larger collective mind and soul…

“This is a sensitive combination of influences that requires a certain amount of detachment to operate successfully. This Full Moon is a time for mindfulness and compassion…”

As in the beautiful prayer quoted above, may this Full Moon bring to you and all beings, the supreme bliss that is divinely personal, soul-deep, and never ending.
