Today, I give thanks for YOU!
To each and every one of you that comes to visit my blog, from the occasional drop-ins to the daily faithful, I want you to know how grateful I am that you have found my little place in cyberspace. In the crazy overload of people and information vying for your attention, thank you for making space in your day for Owl’s Wings.
I know that my website probably ought to be streamlined to better market my services, or emphasize my “brand,” etc. etc. Maybe one of these days I’ll get around to doing that.
But instead, since 2004 or so, I’ve been less owlish and more magpie-like in how I’ve created my nest here. It’s far less utilitarian than it probably should be, but more (hopefully) amusing and real. I’ve created it with a few sturdy bones, yes, but it’s also a hoard of odd bits, lost and found pieces, and quite a few shiny pretties that please me. I am grateful that, over the years, they seem to suit you, too.
I wrote this to the folks who subscribe to my WINGS newsletter, and if you’re not among them (and why NOT, might I ask!), it is meant for you, too:
I want you to know how grateful I am that you are a part of my world. Thank you for being my students, my clients, my colleagues and friends; my fellow travelers at this powerful time.
I give overflowing thanks for the many ideas, questions, and kindnesses that you have shared with me. I love the times we have spent together online, or in Meetup, or in our workshops and studies together. I am especially profoundly grateful to have been given the opportunity to meet with you, heart-to-heart, in the sacred space of our readings.
Your presence with me on this year’s journey of change and challenge is a precious gift. You keep me going, and inspire me to be better — for you.
I am so honored by your support, your wisdom, and your divine presence as we step forward into a new beginning.
May your holidays be richly blessed. Mine certainly are, because of you.
With great love and deepest gratitude to you, my blog visitors ~
