Inspiring Enchantment & Illumination with Tarot & Intuitive Guidance

Tarot Card of the Week: September 26 – October 2, 2011: Nine of Cups

Laziness never arrived at the attainment of a good wish.
~ Miguel De Cervantes

This week we receive a happy visit from the Nine of Cups. How perfect for this week of the New Moon!  And of course, it is the first full week of the new season (Autumn above the Equator, Spring in the lands below).

This card of contentment is traditionally known as the Wishing Card. So be sure to make a wish on the New Moon this week.

What has your heart of hearts been seeking (which we see in the preceding Eight of Cups)?  If your longing is authentic to your truest self, this is your chance for it to be granted to you.

The nines of the Tarot are about completeness. Nine is a very magical number in many traditions, for it is often associated with leadership, initiation, and altruism. It is a threshold number reminding us to balance between idealism and realism, and is a number strongly associated with creativity and fate.

With the Cups, of course, we are talking about emotional satisfaction, perhaps a dream come true. Only the smiling man is between you and your fulfillment. What will you ask for?

Love, intuition, and healing are available in lush, benevolent ways. Who or what offers you great contentment and the realization of your spirit’s longings?  Happiness smiles, and your table is full.

This would be a terrific time for a family reunion, hosting a gathering of beloved friends, or connecting with children, for your heart is especially open now.

Any challenges you may be experiencing at this time can be be resolved. What does your heart say? Let yourself know what you know!

Of course as I have noted many times, every Tarot card has aspects of light and shadow.  If you look at the figure at the table, you may perceive that he looks just a little bit smug.

Beware of over-indulgence or complacency. Remember to invite others to share in your happiness. Be sure that you set a place at your bountiful table for those who also seek the gifts of love’s healing.

Give thanks, and take the time to savor and appreciate the happy resolution that is offered to you. It comes from a magical combination of your own searching as well as the generous gift of Grace.

made just for me…after unemployment since
January. Things in general seem on the upswing.
    Ah…grace.
