I actually HAVE walked in a charged field of air, at Dead Horse Point during a thunderstorm with my Dad when I was a kid. Everyone else ran inside, we were out there playing with the electricity. Crazy and could have killed us, but it didn't. It was really cool. ;^)

I totally agree with the idea of making your home a nurturing environment (I am a Cancerian, after all :)). It's amazing how little changes, like putting a coaster right where you need it for your morning tea, can make a big difference in how comforting your home is. The world "out there" can be a big pain in the butt; my home is my haven from that.

I really enjoy reading about Feng Shui on your blog, Beth! It's been a passion of mine for many years, and I've seen some amazing things happen when the energies of a home are nurtured and... well... energized!
May the Force be with you! :)

As someone who has practiced Tai Chi for a while I can say that you can feel Qi. Slow movements like the "cloud" exercise and others can energize you. You can feel the energy in your hands. I sometimes got the feeling I was walking in an charged field of Air.
Also by praticing Reiki you get a feeling of similar energy.
By closing my eyes and listening to silence I can hear what seems to be the energy field of the planet and what may seem to be the dormant winter seeds sprouting during this time of year in my region.
