Beth, I always love your interpretations of the cards - I've been reading them for years already! - but this one is exceptionally profound.

And also, I think often the difficulty is precisely that we cannot see any or even imagine any silver lining. Then the challenge is to have faith, and I suspect that perfect faith is the source of the Hanged Man's serenity.

Easier said than done.

The quotations you pick are so perfect for the card and for the moment. At this moment, I need to write this quote on my hands, my heart,.....I have so needed to hear this.

The Hanged Man was in my new year tarot reading last week. Rarely seen in my readings. I also had 6 major arcana cards in one reading! I think I am supposed to listen! Thanks for your insights and attention. My life is richer, checking in with your blog each day.
It is slow going reading my morning pages for the new Artist Way chapter. It will take me more than a week or two. I am surprised to find my self continuing my commitment to this program as I sometimes tire of commitments that are time consuming. I'm still here with the group, although doing more creating art and jewelry than writing these days. I have been consistent with artist dates. I find I must slow down a bit, as I have too many good ideas swirling around in my head from artist dates and I want to stay still and focus on my art for a few weeks in a row. Wish I had a caretaker to take care of all the daily mundane tasks, so I could immerse myself in color, texture, and process for hours at a time or days at a time.

Sometimes it is necessary to practice letting go.
Here's an Zen exercise to conquer haste:
When you get your mail don't open the letters or emails for a week.
Well if a week is too difficult then maybe 3 days?
Another exercise: Take a day off and do nothing. :-)
Leave room for empty spots.
Here's a Zen riddle: When you seek it, you can not find it.
Beth, your site is a fountain of wisdom. I really feel at home here.
