Blessings of the Aries New Moon!

Dark of the Moon
New beginnings

Dark of the Moon

Plant a seed tonight

Dark of the Moon

What we envision

Will come to be by the Full Moon’s light.

The Sun and Moon conjoined in the sign of Aries at around midnight Eastern time, so we are now in the New Moon of the new astrological year. My friend, astrologer Lynn Hayes notes, “Aries is the sign of initiation and courage, and as first sign of the zodiac it rules over fresh starts and new beginnings. The New Moon is the beginning of a new solar cycle, so the New Moon in Aries has a particularly strong energy for moving forward into new ventures with energy and enthusiasm.”

Reborn again. Moon of mind’s seas,
now setting swiftly following the sun,
to come again in the new life,
in the heart’s bright renewal.
— A.S. Kline, from New Moon

This would be a powerful time to rededicate yourself to your path, your Deities, or your practice. It is also a time for new endeavors. Astrologer Lisa Dale Miller tells us, “Because Aries is the youngest of the signs, this is the New Moon for fresh starts, turning over a new leaf or starting a new phase. Aries represents the inner child; that trusting, innocent soul which lives within each of us.”

This is the most ideal seed time, a time to plant your dreams, and begin to act. Let the fire of Aries create the quickening of new life that will grow and bring flowering. Now is the time to sculpt the future as you will. May this day be blessed.

Will transformation. Oh be inspired for the flame
in which a Thing disappears and bursts into something else;
the spirit of re-creation which masters this earthly form
loves most the pivoting point where you are no longer yourself.

— Rainer Maria Rilke, from Orpheus

What a beautiful blog! and arriving to this post, on this day, is a synchronistic pleasure for sure.

I love this time of year, this time of this month, Aries that I am 🙂 I’ve spent most of the last 24 hours or more, gathering my seeds and planting my intentions. Thank you for an inspiring post to water it all so beautifully
