Money Laundering

The universe is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper.
— Eden Phillpotts (1862-1960)

Whatever your beliefs about any secret societies, conspiracies, hidden agendas and so forth behind the genesis of our nation’s currency, the cash we now use certainly has symbols and mottoes that represent a return to the idea that prosperity is a gift from the Divine realms.

Although we may or may not ever know their real intentions or beliefs, the fact is that our money is a tool that we are free to use within our own understanding. Money is currency, with all the implications of being a conduit for energy, just like electrical current. And realizing that it contains symbolism of both the sacred and mundane, we can begin to use our relationship with money and prosperity in a new way.

Like any magical tool, it is important to cleanse and clear the previous owners’ residual energies before you use it. Most people spend their money in ways that are, at best, unconscious, but mostly have some degree of worry, guilt, anger, and conflict. So the cash that finds its way into our hands is powerfully charged with people’s fears: whether they will make ends meet, whether they should have bought what they just spent the money on, whether more money will be coming to them, and so on.

Is it any wonder, then, that our money is loaded with negative energy? And naturally, people who are intuitively aware (as I presume most of my visitors reading this are) will pick up fearful, conflicted energy from the money they hold, often without realizing it.

Author Barbara Wilder writes, “Considering how many hands money passes through, and how much fear it picks up along the way, it’s no wonder money is scarce in so many lives.”

So today, I suggest a little money laundering. Take out the money you currently have in your wallet, particularly the paper money, and hold it between your palms. Going into a meditative stillness, in whichever ways you are accustomed to do so, draw up from the heart of the Earth the peace, warmth, and love of Gaia. Let your hands be a channel for cleansing Earth energy to wash and bless the money you hold. Feel the grounded, powerful vibration of the Earth purify your currency. Ask and allow Her to charge the money with good, with nurturing, with love.

When you feel this exercise is complete, relax and give thanks. In the days ahead, as you then spend these dollars, or deposit them in the bank, pay attention to how you release them to someone else. Remember that you have cleansed and charged it, that it is full of Earth’s energy and love. As you place it into someone’s hands, become more aware that you are giving a blessing to them.

More tomorrow!

Connecting with the Earth/Gaia is so important. Just recently I received confirmation how important it is for me to take off my shoes and socks for a good portion of each day, just feeling that. There are many ways of connection, and you show a beautiful one.
